Raw Pygora Fiber - Picard
Pygora fiber fineness, crimp, and staple length ranges between mohair to cashmere. Like cashmere, Pygora fiber does need to be dehaired prior to spinning.
Our fiber comes from the three pygora goats in our herd. They are sheared on-site by us using Oster shears on a goat stand/lap shearing using treats and gentle restraint. Pine Lake goats receive regular care on the goat stand and are not unduly stressed by the shearing process.
All our goats have been raised at Pine Lake in a cruelty-free, enriched environment with significant space to play and roam. Our goats are fed orchard grass hay and forest browse. They were purchased from Hawk's Mountain Ranch.
